Villa Dolunay is located along the Aegean Coast, in the Turkish province of Muğla. It is a sculptural piece of architecture, perfectly inserted into lush surroundings.
From anywhere in the house, you can enjoy spectacular views of the sea, caressed by the breeze. Designed by Foster + Partners, Villa Dolunay features an imposing wooden roof with a wave-like design. The project is inspired by its surroundings: natural colours, stone, bronze and oak recall the rocks and sand of the nearby cliffs. For this project, Interni supported Foster + Partners in the choice of the furniture and covering materials, with the valuable collaboration of architect Massimo Castagna.
The solemn entrance has an automatic opening wooden portal. The large windows making up the villa’s facade look out onto the sea, immense and wild. A limestone staircase leads to the open-plan living area on the main floor, on the level below. The living area is furnished with Exteta's Joint Dining Table in hand-burnished bronze and Feel-Good armchairs by Flexform, while the lounge area is dominated by the Let It Be fabric sofa by Poltrona Frau, Aston armchairs by Minotti and an Assaya armchair by Poltrona Frau. Between the sofa and the chairs sits a composition of coffee tables with different heights, with natural stone tops and burnished metal frames.
In the dining room, a made-to-measure Oxymoron Table by Henge, designed by Massimo Castagna. Nearly 4 m long, it features a precious top in Forest Fusion solid wood and a structure in brass burnished by hand using traditional techniques. The Teresa chairs by Ceccotti Collezioni feature a handmade frame in American walnut. To divide the
dining area from the living room, Henge created exclusively for Interni a sideboard and an imposing bookcase, designed by Foster + Partners. The frame is in hand-burnished brass, while the shelves and containers are in solid wood.
Outside, an infinity pool extends the full width of the house. Around it are various chill-out areas almost entirely furnished by Exteta: from the Caprera sofas with wooden frame and fabric seat to the Vieste armchairs with Nabuk seat and solid wooden frame, and the Stone Round coffee tables in Italian Bardiglio marble. The furnishings designed exclusively for this project later inspired the brand's 10th collection, under the artistic direction of architect Massimo Castagna.
