6 Table Tube d’Avion by Cassina, designed by Le Corbusier, is a simple and refined dining table that embodies the principles of modernist design. Introduced in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne, this table emphasizes the distinction between the support structure and the surface it holds, showcasing a harmonious interplay between the base and the top. The design features four intermediate supports that not only serve as level adjusters but also act as spacers, enhancing the visual separation between the robust base and the slender lines of the tabletop.
