Rectangular porcelain tray

Designed by Le Corbusier for Cassina

Make an enquiry

The Cassina Le Course du Soleil tray, designed in collaboration with Richard Ginori and the Le Corbusier Foundation, is a stunning example of modernist design transformed into functional art. This rectangular tray, crafted from pure, unglazed porcelain, draws inspiration from Le Corbusier’s iconic bas-relief symbols, originally used to adorn the walls of Chandigarh, the city he designed in the 1950s, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tray’s design is based on a sketch by Le Corbusier from 1956, symbolizing the movement of the sun. This refined piece is part of a collection that also features other symbols from his figurative portfolio, including the open hand and the fish, all paying homage to the artistic and architectural legacy of Le Corbusier.
