The Flou Filo Rosso Cube Table Lamp, designed by Stefano Bigi, is a charming blend of playful design and timeless craftsmanship. This geometric lamp features a cubical base crafted from ash heartwood, available in either a natural or coffee-brown-stained finish, adding warmth and a natural touch to any space. Resting on a black felt base, the lamp ensures both stability and a subtle contrast to its wood texture. What sets the Filo Rosso apart is its whimsical incorporation of a red woven fabric cable, which connects the light bulb to the base and serves as both a functional and decorative element. This “red thread” adds a splash of color and a unique character, embodying irony and creativity. The light bulb support is made from iron and coated with a semi-glossy red epoxy powder, further enhancing the lamp’s distinctive look.

The foundation of Flou - which took place in 1978 - was based on the objective of producing beds of high intrinsic and formal quality, combined with the desire to introduce a new 'sleep culture'. It was a period of great social change: more women were going out to work, the homes required multi-functional spaces, there was the growing desire to live life with greater freedom and higher quality. The bedroom became somewhere more dynamic and the bed abandoned the traditional static all-white appearance and delighted dressing in colours.
