The Cord Lamp by Cappellini, designed by Werner Aisslinger, elegantly blends tradition and modernity in a striking hanging design. This suspension lamp features a two-tone sphere, created by pairing two hand-blown glass shells, connected by an embossed metal ring finished in matte black varnish. The top half of the lamp is made from shiny, colored paste glass, available in amethyst, green, and air force blue, while the bottom element is transparent and glossy, adding a touch of lightness to the overall design.
The contrasting colors and finishes of the Cord Lamp give it a harmonious balance between contemporary and classic aesthetics. Expertly crafted by master glassmakers, each glass shell is unique, with subtle variations in color and the occasional air bubble—hallmarks of the artisanal process that add character and depth to the design.
