Born in 1951 in Marano Vicentino, where he still lives and works, Cavedon began painting and exhibiting at a young age. He has participated in numerous national competitions, earning significant awards, including first prizes at the Biennale of Civitella della Chiana and competitions in Arco, Asolo, and Schio. His works have been displayed in Brussels, Rome, San Francisco, New York, and Barcelona. Cavedon’s settings, from urban landscapes to domestic and industrial interiors, are immersed in a dense atmosphere of memory and melancholy. He doesn’t depict what is seen but what he perceives through the filter of his mind, inviting viewers to uncover an elusive and mysterious reality. As he describes, his work seeks to reveal the hidden and vibrant nature of things, encouraging recognition of the signals that objects and landscapes send us.
