With summer 2023 approaching, the design world launches its outdoor collections; a new wave of fascinating trends. The stage of the best furniture brands selected by Interni focuses on the harmonic fusion of elegance, comfort and modularity, with a keen eye on the versatility of spaces. The exterior space is more and more turning into an organic extension of the house, in a smooth dialogue between indoor and outdoor.
This mixture of spaces reflects a growing desire to live nature without giving up comfort and elegance, overcoming the distinction between indoor and outdoor furniture. In this context, the new collections are introduced as interpreters of this evolution, each one expressing a unique and distinctive vision of its brand. So, let’s dive into the most charming proposals for this summer.
Poltrona Frau: Boundless Living
Poltrona Frau’s Boundless Living outdoor collections are a tribute to the brand’s innovation and elegance, an ode to enjoy the outdoor spaces smoothly, for a limitless dimension of living. The Solaria and SecretGarden collections, signed, respectively, by Palomba Serafini and Roberto Lazzeroni, incarnate the Mediterranean and Scandinavian influences. Solaria, with its soft seating elements and handwoven rope textures, expresses all the Mediterranean charm. On the other hand, Secret Garden combines the Scandinavian taste with Made in Italy design, presenting solid teak and organic, slender lines.
Paola Lenti: between Reflection and Innovation
Paola Lenti's new collection - presented at Milan Design Week 2023- reflect the company’s philosophy of constant evolution, while preserving tradition. The new outdoor textiles convey the ideal domestic comfort also outside granting the company yet another record in the field: soft and cozy, like the more classical interior fine fabrics, but more resistant and certified recycled.
Exteta: the Essence of Italian Art
Exteta brings all the Italian art of living in its outdoor collections. Among the new elements selected by Interni: Levante Chair, with its distinctively refined woodcraft and intertwined mahogany structure inspired by the beauty of trees; Biscuit Dinner Table mixes a bold design and exceptional materials, while Panarea Sofa dominates the outdoors with its linearity and refined perfection. Signed by Massimo Castagna, the new Exteta proposals add a touch of artistic perfection to the outdoors.
B&B ITALIA: PABLO OUTDOOR
Pablo Outdoor is the first outdoor collection designed by Vincent Van Duysen for B&B Italia. It is a complete collection including an armchair in two depths, a sofa and a footrest and it’s made of teak, the ideal material for outdoors.The geometry of the supporting frame presents a sophisticated balance of straight and curved lines, but this is not just an aesthetic choice. In fact, both the frame, with its uninterrupted surface, and the rear fabric panels -anchored to rods that can be removed easily- were designed to ease maintenance of the wood and the textiles.
CAPPELLINI PRESENTS LIDO
The LIDO collection by Cappellini presents a group of outdoor furniture including both new products and reinterpretations of existing pieces, adapted for the outdoors. The high-quality materials offer the best outdoor durability, evoking in a contemporary way the amazing exteriors of the great French and Italian Riviera hotels of the past. Pure white, purplish blue and oxide red are the main colors of Cappellini’s LIDO collection, bringing us back to a period in time when luxury was both refinement and simplicity.
RODA AND TALENTI: MODULARITY AND ELEGANCE
Estendo di Roda and the Allure collection by Talenti focus on modularity and elegance. Designed by Luca Pevere, Estendo is a modular outdoors sofa with aluminum frame, able to offer great comfort and elegance. The Allure collection by Talenti, designed by Christophe Pillet, combines informality and an unusual modularity, presenting a solid frame in Accoya wood and geometrical, linear pillows of various dimensions.
The scenery of the new outdoor collections opens to a great number of choices to create extremely stylish outdoors, going beyond simple functionality and satisfying the increasingly widespread desire to integrate the exteriors and the interiors. All of this offers the chance to transform any garden, terrace or patio into a space where to host moments of relax and conviviality in the open air, in spaces that are as elegant and cozy as domestic interiors.
