The AJ52 Desk, also known as the Society Table, is a timeless representation of Danish architect Arne Jacobsen’s functionalist design approach. Conceived in 1952 during the height of Jacobsen’s career, this writing desk perfectly blends modern materials and techniques with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. The AJ52 features a fine-structured leather top that wraps elegantly around a tubular metal frame, creating a refined and sophisticated look.
Beneath the desk, a six-drawer unit is suspended from fine metal tubes, contributing to the desk’s light and airy feel. The solid-wood feet further enhance this effect, creating a visually balanced and elegant piece of furniture.
Available in two sizes, the AJ52 Desk offers customization options, including the choice to include or exclude the tabletop compartment and lamp. The larger version, measuring 160 x 70 cm, provides ample workspace, and the six-drawer unit can be mounted on either the left or right side of the table. Customers can choose from solid oak, walnut, or black-painted oak for the drawers and matching feet, making this desk a versatile addition to any modern office or home workspace.
