Milena Liberti, an Apulian artist, began her 33-year artistic journey in 1984 at a private painting school in Barletta, learning drawing and oil painting techniques. After graduating from a classical high school in 1990, she continued as a self-taught painter, studying various materials and techniques like iconography, fresco, and developing a passion for acrylics. Her work in a photography studio introduced her to the interplay of light and shadow, inspiring her to move beyond figurative art. Though she earned a degree in Literature and Philosophy in 1996, her true passion remained painting. She embraced a period of self-discovery and experimentation, filling large canvases with textures like plaster, sand, and resins, and moving toward abstract forms. Her work became a powerful expression of the Self, inviting open interpretation and exploration.
