Villa Sontuosa is a breathtaking masterpiece located in Umm Al Sheif, in the western area of Dubai.
It elegantly pairs fine materials with classic European-style furnishings and a touch of Art Deco influence, harmoniously blending ancient charm with modern luxury, thanks to distinctive elements from prestigious brands such as Baxter, Poliform, Poltrona Frau, and Giorgetti.
The project was created by Etereo Design in collaboration with Interni, taking inspiration from the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere of resorts. In fact, composed not only of various living spaces but also of a spa and a private gym, this residence can instantly evoke a sense of tranquillity and wellness in its visitors.
Drawing on Italian and Middle Eastern influences, the villa is a contemporary residence showcasing beautiful furniture from brands like Minotti, Flexform and Molteni, and refined materials such as marble, bronze, and smoked oak.
Marble is the mansion's distinctive element, with more than 25 types sourced from different parts of the world, some custom 3D printed, serving as a unifying theme throughout the spaces.
The precious marbles chosen to adorn the luxurious rooms of Villa Sontuosa include Yves Saint Laurent marble in the kitchen, Collemandina in the dining room, Calacatta Grigio in the guest bathroom, and Chinese White Beauty in the master bedroom.
Etereo Design's primary goal for the project was to create an elegant and contemporary design using high-quality materials, while also respecting the cultural and social needs of the client.
To this end, a separate guest room was created, partitioned from the private living area bysliding doors and wooden shutters, allowing for easy integration of the two areas when necessary.
During the realization of the project, in addition to aesthetics, the studio also dedicated part of its work and research to sustainability, particularly to water and energy conservation.
The windows, made of superior UV-rated glass, feature a drainage system connected to a tank used for irrigation. Finally, in keeping with the Villa Sontuosa's location, the project incorporated the traditional Middle Eastern Mashrabiya technique, effectively shielding against daytime heat while allowing air and light to permeate the residence.
