The Magis Elysee Bookshelf, designed by Pierre Paulin, originates from a prestigious project dating back to 1971 when Paulin was commissioned to design several rooms, including the library, in the private apartments of President Pompidou at the Élysée Palace. Initially conceived as a smoked methacrylate shelving system, this design has evolved into the elegant bentwood bookcase we know today.
The Elysee Bookshelf is a modular shelving system available in natural maple plywood, American walnut plywood, and painted oak plywood in black or red finishes. Its flexible design allows for endless compositions, making it a perfect fit for various spaces and needs. Thanks to the clever "T" joints in white or black ABS, the modules can be combined to create unique arrangements, whether placed against a wall or used as a partition element in an open room.
