The Miya Table by Cappellini, designed by Elena Salmistraro, takes its inspiration from the armor of ancient samurais, though its final form evokes more of a delicate flower than a warrior’s shield. This sculptural small table showcases a blend of materials and design ingenuity, transforming an initial concept into a piece that surprises and enchants.
The Miya table features a large transparent glass barrel that houses a colored blown glass structure, topped with an interlocking extra-light crystal plate. The central coating and the vibrant hues of cobalt blue and emerald green create a captivating interplay of transparency and vivid color, making the table an artistic focal point in any room.
