The Cassina Radio Cristallo, originally designed by Franco Albini in 1938, is a striking example of minimalist ingenuity and technical artistry. Albini’s vision redefined the traditional radio by exposing its electric components, delicately pressed between two sheets of tempered glass, creating a piece that is both functional and visually captivating. This prototype, a tribute to lightness and transparency, captures the essence of modern design.
In collaboration with Fondazione Franco Albini, Cassina has optimized the original design, maintaining its exact proportions while incorporating new technologies to enhance the listening experience. The result is a radio that not only delivers superior sound but also creates a more immersive atmosphere, all while staying true to Albini’s pioneering spirit.
