The Cassina Capitol Complex armchair is an homage to Pierre Jeanneret, drawing inspiration from the iconic architecture of Le Corbusier's Capitol Complex in Chandigarh, which was included in UNESCO’s Cultural Heritage list in 2016. Designed in 1951, this armchair reflects the elegance and simplicity of the original designs that filled the Haute Cour, Secretariat, and Assemblée rooms of the Capitol Complex. Featuring the distinctive "V" support structure, the armchair combines a solid wood frame with overstuffed cushioning that delivers exceptional comfort. The only visible wooden elements are the connecting crossbars and the external joints between the arms and backrest, which are meticulously crafted to showcase the purity of the design.
