Cage grande

Cage is a suspension lamp designed by Diesel Creative Team in 2009 for Foscarini inspired by the lamps used by miners and workers protected by a metal cage, which becomes a decorative element. The contrast between the sophisticated blown glass diffuser and the outside cage is highlighted even more by the irregularities of the craftsmanship of steel. Cage is available with White Glamor and Black Fashion diffuser, each protected by a white or black lacquered cage or with new Metallic Bronze diffuser with Brown cage. Cage projects a downward intense light beam that focuses the attention on a table, a piece of furniture or a limited area. The white or black version also spreads a soft glow while the bronze diffuser retains the diffusion of light and reflects it completely downwards with its opaque white inside surface. The color of the glass is full and the shape of the cage is reflected on the glossy or mirror surface when the lamp is off, while when turned on it looks different depending on the color and surface treatment of the diffuser. The Bronze version maintains the mirror effect, while the White or Black blown glass becomes warmer.
