Claudio Bitetti
Claudio Bitetti, born in Aosta in 1962, earned his degree in Industrial Design from the Politecnico University of Milan’s Department of Architecture. Over his career, he has collaborated with several notable furniture companies, including Alivar, Ciatti a Tavola, Dilmos, EmmeBi, Minottiitalia, Mogg, Movelight, and Sturm Und Plastic. Bitetti’s work is not limited to furniture; he also designs retail spaces and private residences.
His design philosophy emphasizes flexibility, dynamic forms, and minimalism, always aiming to uncover the poetic nature of objects without compromising their functionality or recognizability. As Elio Franzini, a professor of Aesthetics at the State University of Milan, remarked, Bitetti’s designs serve as symbols, embodying a dialogue between the project and the user, where the invisible is expressed through the visible.
Bitetti’s creations explore the deeper meanings of everyday objects, transcending traditional functionality. He designs spaces that encourage individuals to engage all their senses and challenge conventional understanding, as noted by Flaviano Celaschi, a professor and vice-dean at the Milan Faculty of Industrial Design.
