Philippe Starck
Born in Paris in 1949, he is a French architect and designer of international acclaim, the son of an aeronautical engineer. Since the late 1980s, he has established himself as a designer.
To date more than 10,000 objects bear his signature and many are exhibited in the most important international museums. He has worked with numerous companies in the sector such as: Kartell, Cassina, Flos, Alessi, Fiam italia, Magis and many more.
He is a volcano of creativity and ideas that range from everyday objects (the unforgettable citrus-fruit squeezer designed for Alessi) to architectural projects, yachts, hotels and private residences, without any limit.
All his works and his projects are driven by his deep understanding of contemporary changes, to which he responds with determination, love and intelligence, with an eye always focused on the ethical and ecological aspect.
Op. cit. "Subversive, ethical, ecological, political, witty ... That's how I see my work as a designer."
