Naoto Fukasawa

Born in 1956 in Kofu, in Yamanashi prefecture (Japan), Naoto Fukasawa is now recognized as one of the most influential designers on the planet. In fact, he has obtained many awards internationally owing to his ability to bring out the true essence of the products he conceives and their disarming beauty. Simplicity is at the heart of his design approach, allowing him to achieve the concept of sublimity in every creation.

After gaining experience in different situations between Japan and the United States, Fukasawa went into business for himself and founded the Naoto Fukasawa Design studio in 2003. He collaborates with the top design brands on the international scene and companies rely on him not only for his consultancy services but to commission the realization of countless products. B&B Italia, Driade, Artemide, Magis, Danese are just a few of the companies he has worked with and continues to work with, making sure that his name and works are recognized everywhere. 

His projects span various areas from product design, architecture, and precision electronic equipment to creating interior spaces and installations. He is designer who, no matter what task he takes on, always manages to interpret the canons and ideas with which he is identified. Naoto Fukasawa firmly believes that simplicity in design creates a harmonious relationship between the object, the person who uses it and the surrounding environment. This personal vision of things has allowed him, over the years, to be identified by his precise style and be appreciated the world over.
