Terry Dwan
Terry Dwan, born in Santa Monica, California, studied Structural Engineering and Architecture at Rice University in Houston and Fine Arts at SACI in Florence before earning a Master's in Architecture from Yale University in 1984. After receiving a Fulbright scholarship in Rome, she became a partner at Studio Citterio Dwan in 1986 and opened her own studio in Milan in 1991. From 1997 to 2004, she taught architecture and lectured globally, from New Haven to Bogotá. Her studio has won numerous international awards for architectural design, and in 1996, after obtaining her architect’s license in both the U.S. and Italy, she began product design, collaborating with companies such as Sawaya, Moroni, Electrolux, and San Lorenzo. Since 2004, she has served as the Art Director of Riva 1920, and some of her works are part of the permanent collection at the Design Museum of the Triennale di Milano.
