Paolo Piva
Born in Adria in 1950, Paolo Piva was an Austrian-Italian architect and designer. He studied architecture at the University of Venice and graduated with the renowned and now highly considered Carlo Scarpa, with a thesis on the city of Vienna in the early 1900s, never overlooking the field of view in which he would prove to be a great expert and enthusiast.
Since then, he collaborated with both the University of Vienna and the University of Venice, curating various exhibitions and installations. From the early 70s Paolo Piva also began dealing with industrial design by designing highly successful design furnishings for companies such as B&B Italia, Poliform, Thonet and Wittmann, owing to which today he is acknowledged as having been one of the top representatives of Italian design.
