Giuseppe Bavuso
Born in Seregno in 1959, Giuseppe Bavuso is an architect and designer who leans toward minimalist design supported by an enormous technical knowledge linked to the world of technological materials and cutting-edge production methodologies. His design activities initially ranged from areas such as designing bio-medical machinery and train interiors to furnishings for large common areas. He has received various awards and acknowledgements during his career, such as first prize for the International Design Award in 1990 or mentions in the Compasso d’Oro Award in 2005 and 2008 respectively for the "Graphics" system and the "Vela" door, both from Rimadesio making him in fact one of the most internationally appreciated and sought-after designers. With the passing of time, together with his design studio, he began collaborating more frequently with some of the most important furniture companies, even designing products for brands such as Rimadesio (of which he is now the art director) Minotti, Poliform, Magis, Alivar, Ernesto Meda and many others.
