Vilhelm Lauritzen
Vilhelm Lauritzen, one of Denmark's most influential architects and designers, was a key figure in Scandinavian functionalism. He designed many of Denmark's most iconic buildings, including the Radiohuset and the original Kastrup Airport, which are considered landmarks of modern life. Lauritzen frequently created furniture and lighting specifically for his buildings, focusing on soft, diffused lighting that created subtle plays of light and shadow. His collaborations, especially with Carl Hansen, are notable, with the VLA26 chair standing out as a signature piece.
